How I Work From Wifi

How I Work From Wifi

Let’s chat about how to work from Wifi to create multiple streams of income.

After the pandemic and losing majority of my salary as an event planner in 2020 due to majority of events being cancelled, I knew I needed to diversify my income and utilize the internet to monetize my blog and create multiple passive streams of income.

If you’re interested in creating your own blog, check out these WordPress templates from Pix & Hue that I used to create this blog.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve also realized that I want to build my career around my life, not my life around my career. Plus, with a husband who has dedicated his life to becoming a doctor, I want to build a career online so that no matter how many times we move for his education or his job, I can continue to grow my career and my income online through multiple streams of revenue.

Here are five ways I’ve learned how to work from Wifi that I hope help you create multiple streams of passive income as well:

Affiliate Programs:

Amazon, Shop Style, Reward Style, and Share A Sale are currently the most well-known affiliate programs. Affiliate programs act as the “middle man” between Influencers and Brands. Affiliate programs are a great place to start for another stream of passive income, because they generate special links for you to use to collect commission. Some are strictly for conversion codes and affiliate links, and others offer brand partnerships as well. Side note: Passive income does not mean it isn’t any work but it does have the potential of being evergreen content that can grow over time as your online community grows and you reach more people online. The thing that’s great about affiliate programs like this is that you can link it and leave it and it will generate income over time with each purchase through your links.

Brand Partnerships:

I have multiple brand partnerships with companies both local and online that I have already previously purchased their products and services and believe in their value. Brand partnerships often result in giving you a discount on future purchases or a commission rate from the sales generated from your online platform, links, or affiliate codes. I believe authenticity and integrity is key here because we all can tell on Instagram stories when someone has been paid or offered to promote a free product that they probably have never used before. I’m a strong believer that if you are going to promote a product or service from another company you better love the product or service yourself before sharing it with your online community. Don’t be afraid to reach out to companies in person and online and ask them about a brand partnership. So many companies want to work with online influencers!

Some people may disagree with this next statement but I consider network marketing companies to also be more of a brand partnership. Do your research here, talk with multiple people who have worked with the company before hand. Ask good questions. Again, I firmly believe if you are going to share any products, use them yourself for an extended amount of time because your results should be so exciting that your testimony sells these products for you. Then selling turns into sharing the products with others because you want others to also experience the same transformational results.

This is how I view my brand partnership with Monat, an all natural skincare, haircare, and wellness line. After I moved to Arizona, my hair was dry and splitting like crazy. I tried multiple different hair lines and I decided to try Monat because of a trusted friend who was selling the products and because she has been a hair stylist for fifteen years. I noticed results right away but I decided to use the products for a full year before deciding to become a market partner and sell the products. More recently, I completely changed my skincare routine to plant based products that transformed my hormonal acne prone skin which you can read more about here. Now I love the opportunity to help other people transform their hair and skin because I’ve seen what these products have done for myself and multiple people who are now obsessed with their hair and skin.

I will also add that in my experience, I make 10x more on commission from one new Monat client than my commission through one affiliate link on LTK or my Amazon storefront. Monat has been my most profitable stream of income and easily one of the best decisions I made in 2020. If you’re interested in adding Monat as a stream of income click here to learn more. Advertising:

Putting ads on your website is a passive income generator, in other words it’s a way to make money while you sleep. You can set them up and basically forget about them and then cash out at the end of each month depending on your web traffic and click rate. As your blog traffic grows, so will your income from ads. From my research, Google AdSense seems to be the preferred ad platform by majority of experienced bloggers.

These are the top three ways I am able to work from Wifi and how I have created multiple streams of revenue online. Here are two more popular ways to make money online:

Sell A Service:

This is when someone pays you money in exchange for a service that you can offer them, like paying a photographer to take photos of your wedding day, or paying a wedding planner to help you plan your wedding. If you need more income ASAP, consider signing up to be a personal shopper for Target, or a driver for Uber or Uber Eats. If you have a specific skillset such as a personal trainer, a hair stylist, or a private chef for example, look into ways you can sell your service online as another stream of income. So many people want to hire services to be done at their convenience and from their homes.

Sell A Product:

This can be an online store, a physical product, or a downloadable product like an ebook. I recommend Shopify if you’re interested in creating an online store with physical products or online downloads. Online memberships and individual courses are also a popular way to create another stream of income online. I recommend checking out Kajabi if you are interested in creating an online course or a monthly membership program with a reoccurring fee.

I hope these five different ways to make money online and work from Wifi encourage you and help you to develop multiple streams of income. LMK below if you learned something new or what advice you would give as well!
